In the early years of the Marriott Walker Corporation, the flat-floor box dryer was the mainstay of our business. Throughout the 1940s, 50s and 60s the flat-floor box dryer was the "work horse" for dairy spray drying duties in North America. For many processors the flat floor box dryer offers an economical and easily serviced spray drying system, without the costly, complex and tall process buildings that tower dryers require. For processors that single-stage dry one product or a family of compatible products, the box dryer is a design worthy of serious consideration.
